Abstract:
This communication seeks to reflect on teaching, in particular graphic design in a time of pandemic (covid-19). The challenges that were unexpectedly posed to teachers, who from one moment to the next were forced to change the way of teaching, from face-to-face to virtual. The facilities and difficulties that both, the teacher and the students, felt throughout their classes.
Since the Bachelor's Degree in Design and Graphic Production at ISEC Lisbon is essentially practical, it is interesting to understand how the adaptation was carried out. The main advantages of distance learning are the possibility for people who are isolated and infected with Covid-19 to be able to attend classes. Also, there is the opportunity to share works and ideas among colleagues by displaying them on Zoom (during the presentation). However, without the guarantee that all students are watching, as the presence of colleagues is not as evident as in face-to-face teaching, students feel more comfortable, which allows the presentation to run better.
